Samsung Galaxy S III launch details reveal multiple models, official device of 2012 Olympics.
In addition, there could be simultaneous launch events in New York City, Seoul and Dubai according to our source. We are also told that the Samsung Galaxy S III will come in two color options, one in blue and black, and a second in white. There will be 16GB and 32GB models as well, and additional specs include a 1080p HD display, a quad-core Exynos processor and integrated 4G LTE.
This is new information – 2 colour choices at launch:
1. Blue and Black
2. All White.
This sounds very plausible based on the photo used for the May 3rd invitation. Simultaneous launch in New York suggests that U.S. carrier deals / model variants are in place.
I see the 1080P display rumour still seems to be alive. I’m still skeptical about that, but SOOO hopeful that I’m wrong and we really see 1920 X 1080 resolution.
This is getting very exciting. Over the next 17 days I expect several more rumours to leak, but they will be real leaks telling us actual final details of the best phone released to humanity yet.
FANTASTIC! Great Great news to wake up to on a Monday morning.
The Samsung Galaxy S III and possibly other Galaxy devices will be officially unveiled by Samsung at an event in London on May 3rd. There is also talk that Samsung may announce that the phone will start selling in many major markets around the world on May 22.
The press invite says “Come and Meet the Next Galaxy”.
To me that strongly suggests that the SGS 3 may not be called the Galaxy S “3″ any more!!! Is Samsung going to take Apple’s lead and stop adding version numbers to their product naming? I think there is a very good possibility! I’d place a bet on it. Maybe they will even introduce it as simply The New Samsung Galaxy S!
Samsung will live-stream the entire presentation at www.facebook.com/samsungmobile Put it in your calendars (May 3rd 2pm EST.)
Hilarious. To each his own however. I can’t fault the guy if he’s tried different ROM varieties and Samsung Touchwiz ends up being his favourite.
Samsung Galaxy S III alleged official photo and specs leak – GSMArena.com news.
I’m willing to bet that these SGS3 specs are spot-on.

That about covers it. There is a very strong chance we are looking at the final specs of the SGS3 superphone
CyanogenMod 7.2 comes to 70 devices with over 20 new features.
I can’t wait to try this on my SGS2. This will be the last Gingerbread ROM I ever run. I’m quite surprised that the CM team has been working on gingerbread till now. ICS source has been out for 3 months already. But it is a good thing, as far more phones out there can support gingerbread than ICS.
Rumor: Samsung Galaxy S III wireless charging system to work from 1-2 meters away | Android and Me.
Wow!!! The rumour mill is in FULL Swing!!!!
First of all – there is NOT going to be any charging system that works from 5 feet away. At best there may be one that works when the phone touches a plate, and even that is doubtful.
SGS3 Rumours are flying left and right! Excitement for the SGS3 is at an all-time high! This superphone is picking up crazy new features every other day. Some of these technologies haven’t even been invented!
Here are my Top 3 Rumoured specs that are not going to be in the SGS3.
1. Water Resistant
2. Wireless Charging included*
3. 1920 X 1080 Resolution
I’m seeing the above 3 datapoints being written about everywhere, and in many cases as if it is already a known fact. While I want to see cool features like that as much as anyone, come on, lets get realistic – no need to get ahead of ourselves!
* Qi capability could be built-in, which would make it the first major phone to come with it.
“There is still no option to manually re-install all, or a select portion, of your apps, which would go a long way to building in the same functionality for non-root users as Titanium Backup does for root users.”
So this means Android is just one step away from replacing a key use of Titanium Backup. I’m certain they will add the functionality to select a bunch of apps at a time from your ‘All Apps’ screen and batch reinstall all of them with one-click.
This is in general what Android should be doing… finding the best features in important apps and absorbing them into the native Android builds.
Nexus S ICS updates reportedly restarting in a few weeks | Android Central.
So the Original Gangsta Nexus S is going to officially get its ICS in April?!?! This is more than 4 months after ICS officially was available to the public (Dec 8th 2011.) I think this is completely unacceptable, Google! They should apologize with a good explanation how such a massive failure happened!
This article is very interesting to me because a number of items that I would still say are not known are referred to as a given. More specifically:
2GB RAM
1.8 GHZ Dual Core Exynos 4212
4.6″ screen 1280 X 720
12 megapixel camera
I don’t think any of the above four specifications are known with certainty like the article suggests, but I’m very keen to see how this turns out. I’m sure they must be wrong on at least 2 of the 4 items!
