I bricked my SGS. I installed the wrong firmware. I admit it's my fault, i didn't read it well that it's for captivate models.

I'm send it to the service center, and i'll be getting it back later. And regarding backing up, ROM manager app doesn't work well. I don't know how, i followed the steps in androidpolice.com and still no luck.

What advice could you give me? Should i upgrade directly to darky's or should i make backup first? (i don't have anything to backup except for android 2.2 installed as the default OS)

Any thoughts? Please advice. thanks a lot my friend

Thank, yeah i plan to make backup first, pretty scared that i might brick my phone while installing Darky's ROM.

By the way, are the downloads at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=814091 up to date? I mean in the requirements section, is the ClockWordMod up to date? Is it just fine to download it?

Thanks my friend

A backup is a good idea if you would like to revert back to the previous state your phone was in.
That is a very good article from androidpolice.com Thanks.
